FLIR’s Indigo Operations in Santa Barbara, California, is the headquarters for FLIR’s Commercial Vision Systems (CVS) division.

FLIR CVS is a leading manufacturer of advanced camera cores and components for commercial, industrial, security & surveillance, R&D, and military and government applications. Our strategy is to deliver high-performance, infrared products at commercially affordable prices to markets around the world.

FLIR Systems, Indigo Operations produces a variety of thermal imaging systems that "see" outside the limits of visible light sensors. These camera families cover the entire infrared spectrum, and include some of the world's smallest and lightest IR camera and thermal video imaging systems.

• Indigo Operations manufactures science-class cameras that are sold through FLIR’s Thermography division.
  
• World events are accelerating the need for and the growth in commercial security and surveillance systems, a CVS line of business.
  
• FLIR CVS supplies the infrared technology used in its Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) for use as a pilot’s aid, as well as systems used in FLIR’s maritime navigation and obstacle avoidance product lines.
  
• FLIR’s infrared components are vital to OEM applications such as drivers vision enhancement, firefighting, industrial/process control, scientific measurement, and military night vision.

These devices are, collectively, FLIR's core business.

Custom integrated circuit design, including silicon ROICs (readout integrated circuits) and focal plane arrays (FPAs or sensors) for commercial, industrial, military, and medical use, as well as systems and software engineering, are the critical components that have propelled Indigo into a high-volume production capability. Our silicon chip design expertise, proprietary technology, and manufacturing advantages have made Indigo the only company in the IR industry with all required technologies in-house.
